December news, and New year Races, and 2010 Yeti team.

So after a good 5 weeks of doing not much after the last MTB world cup, I got back into training again at the end of October. Im all set for a busy January of BMX races. Heading to the US with my boy Sam Willoughby for some of their UCI rounds (reno on Guthrie to be exact). Wish I could stay longer and do some more, but the MTB season will start up again in what will seem like no time! Super pumped up for these in January though, can't wait! It's been about 15 months since I've raced all the big boys of BMX, and been a couple years since I've raced BMX in the US, so it will be cool! Not to mention perfect early season training for the upcoming MTB international season.

Got my new BMX race bike all built and dialled, oh so pimp! the pimpest BMX I've had yet, I could just look at it all day! Only had a few rides on it so far, just keeping her fresh! Got a couple sets of the new DT Swiss 240 BMX hubs, they float my boat BIG TIME! So a big thanks to DT Swiss.

It's been great fun riding a ton of BMX again, and really good to freshen up on the MTB, To really be at your best for the World cup MTB season I need to do something a bit different in the offseason, Something that is still keeping my form good, and improving my skills, but something a bit different to MTB. Ive still been riding the MTB atleast once a week, but when you try and make yourself not ride so much, on the days when you do get out doing some runs or even an XC ride, you feel like you are an overexcited 14 year old again. thats why I really love this time of year, when you can get good solid training and skills sessions in without worrying about any racing, and just concentrate on doing what you gotta do to get better.

We have Gregor and Anita Molcik from Austria staying for a couple weeks at the moment. Getting a bit of an escape on the freezing Austrian winter, and getting some good riding done, so i'ts been good having them here.

And as most people reading this might have already heard, the 2010 Yeti World Cup race team has been announced, both myself and Gwinny are back, but Blenkincraps has moved on to Lapierre, and young Colorado Shredder Joey Schusler will get a chop at world Cup level. Joey is a really good kid, and a pinner, he's still young and has a lot to learn, but he's as motivated and wants it as much as anyone ive seen before, so it will be cool to help him out and see him get better each week! A full list of team sponsors haven't all been confirmed and locked in yet, so no comment there, but everything will be pretty much the same as 2009.

There is really nothing too interesting to talk about, it's always like that when im in training mode, BOOORING haha!

Oh it is my bithday this week, so I'm sure a small party will be on the cards! yeaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh
